Hi I'm Britian

I am from Texas. (: I LOVE singing and acting! Most importantly i'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Britian. I've never really felt the need to write a paragraph about myself. So I will write a quote. If you have any questions about me or if there is something you would like to know you can just message me. (: "Life Is Not About Waiting For The Storm To Pass, It Is About Learning How To Dance In The Rain."

Why I am a Mormon

I have been the only person to go to church in my family for as long as I can remember. So you can imagine how many different churchs I have been to. I started going to church on my own when I was very young. I have looked into many different religions. I always had this feeling that there was just something missing though.. I couldn't find what it was. I never really believed in what the other churchs preached and I found a lot of things that went on in the churchs as wrong. So for a while I just stopped going to church all together. Then I started dateing the person that I am still with today who happened to be a Mormon. He told be that if we were going to stay together and get married that I would need to join the church. At first I was very sceptic about it. Then after I went I realized I really loved the enviornment. Everyone treated me like family which is something I never had. The more I kept going the more that I just felt right. The things that were taught just seemed logical. All of the questions that I have had from a very young age were answered. I KNOW that this is the TRUE church. I trust in it. It is the best choice I have ever made. I am so glad to be a Mormon. Just knowing that there is so much more after this life on earth. Is sad to know that a lot of churchs tell their members that they are all going to go to Hell because they aren't worthy enough to go to Heaven... It's just wrong.. I am so happy that I found this religion. I love all of our beliefs. Everything I learn just seems to be another piece of the puzzle that i'd always been missing. I think that pretty much sums it up pretty well. (:

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every Sunday and Wednesday. I go to all of the activities that my Mom allows me to go to. I read my scriptures as much as I possibly can. I share my testimony with anyone who is willing to listen. I try my hardest to help people understand the religion. I try my hardest to help people in every way that I can.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

We do baptisms for the dead because we feel that it is only fair. We want every one to feel the happiness that we feel. Everyone should be forgiven of their sins. Just think, if someone never even heard of God is it fair for him to not have that chance? No not really. We do baptisms for the dead so that people who didn't want to join, or didn't have the chance, ect. they will all have that chance. There is more after this life on earth. After we die we go to the spirit world and we wait for the resurection. That way we can all gain our bodies back when we go to Heaven. A lot of people don't want to believe in this so I have a scripture from the Bible that talks about the spirit world and how we will be taught the gospel while waiting for this chance. "By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison" 1 Peter 3:19. Spirit prison is often what people call the spirit world because this is where we are waiting in order to go to Heaven. If you want more on the scripture i'm sure you can read the rest of that chapter, or better yet as the LDS Missionaries that are in your town. They are always willing to help people understand, and they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. All they want is what is best for you, so they will always be there to help you. What is faith?

To me faith is putting all of your trust in God. You just pray about things and you trust that he will take care of you. I have found that anytime I run into a conflict in my life that if I pray and really just give everything up to Heavenly Father that I know that my prayers will be answered. If you pray with a sincere heart and you really mean everything you pray about that our Heavenly Father will do all he can to help us. No this is not an over night process. You have to trust that in all the right timing your problems will go away and that you will be helped. Our Hevenly Father has a soft but subtle voice. He will show you what you need to do you just need to be willing to listen to him. You also can't just pray and expect for everything to be wonderful. You've got to be obedient to God's commandments, study His word, and have the desire to believe in Christ. If you follow these things you will receive many blessings and you will have the faith that you are searching for. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is absolutly amazing. I am a convert so I know the feeling of being lost. Before joining the church I was so lost and I didn't know what to believe of how to live my life. I began going to the church and I realized all of my questions were answered. Each time I go to church another piece of the puzzel is found and it fits perfectly. Just knowing all of the things that i've learned makes me so happy! My life has gotten a LOT easier since I joined the church. I have realized I don't have as many problems as I use to. I'm a much happier person. I just find that after joining the church my life has become so much more amazing. Everyone in the church treats you like family from day 1. I know that I can pray about anything and my prayer will be answer! Many people think that being Mormon comes with too many rules and regulations. What they don't understand is everything that we do is because GOD said it should be done. We follow the commandments strickly. We dress modestly. We read our scriptures. All little things that every one needs to do. God wants you to do these things, He LOVES us ALL!!!! He wants what is best for us. You've just got to be open to listen to him, and be PATIENT! I promise you that if you go to the LDS church with an open heart and ready to listen he will answer your questions as well. (: Becoming a Mormon is the BEST choice you will ever make in your whole life. :D Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

I first began to gain my testimony when I was attending a Mini Youth Conference. It was time for us to share our testimonies with each other. At that point in time I wasn't even fully a member yet because I hadn't been baptized. As I was listening to everyone give their testimonies I just had this feeling come over me. I started to feel kind of strange. I just gained this burning desire to get up and the longer I waited it just kept getting worse. Not in a bad way, but in a great way. I decided to get up and share my testimony. I didn't prepare what to say or anything I just started talking and I just let my heart spill out to these people who I hadn't ever seen before today. I just let everything out. I told them how I was the only person in my family to go to church and I told them how I found the church. I told them the background of my life. I had the need to tell these strangers things I hadn't ever really shared with many people. I knew that the Holy Ghost had come over me. At that moment I became 100% sure that the church was the true church. That Joseph Smith WAS a prophet of God, which God called to restore Jesus Christ's church to the earth. That we are still led by a prophet today. And that Heavenly Father lives and he loves us. That Jesus Christ lives and he is the Son of God, and that He carried out the infinite Atonement. (Which i'm so very thankful for) And I knew that my testimony would continue to frow as I continues to go to church and believe in Gods works. Show more Show less
