Hi I'm Stephen Cook

My name is Stephen. Born and raised in Arizona. Called to serve in the Ecuador, Guayaquil West mission. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have been called to serve in the Guayaquil West, Ecuador mission!!! I will be speaking Spanish, which I couldn't be any more excited about!! I am so excited to serve the Lord and devote 2 years of my life to him and helping others come unto Christ and learn of the gospel! I have a strong interest in becoming an architectural engineer and making a career of that. I love making house plans and hope one day I will be able to live in a house that I designed myself! I plan on attending Mesa Community College when I return from my mission so I can receive my degree in Architecture and then transfer to a university to further my studies...at least that's the plan for now hahaha. I love playing sports. I am not the best at them, but love them nonetheless. I am a big movie watcher. Love going to the theaters to watch movies. I have made it a personal goal to watch any and all Marvel movies that are made, given they are appropriate to watch. Yupp, that's pretty much me in a nutshell :) any questions feel free to ask.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because after all the personal trials and experiences I have been through, the teachings of the LDS church and the Book of Mormon are what gets me to the end of the day believing all will be well. I have been a member my entire life, but I know personally that this is the true church and if I follow the commandments and listen to the prophet that I will be saved in the last days. The Spirit is so strong when I am learning of the gospel and I get such a strong feeling of peace and comfort in my life when I am doing what I should be doing. Because of that I wouldn't do anything that would go against the teachings of the Mormon religion.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by deciding to serve a full-time mission. Because of some choices I have made I am leaving for my mission a few years later than most, but I know that this is the correct thing for me to do, and I know that the Lord wants me to serve the people of Ecuador at this time in my life. I strongly believe that He has been preparing me and the people in my mission area for this moment for when I can share with them whatever message the Lord has for them. By serving my mission I am sacrificing several years of going to college and working on building a career, but I know God will provide a way for me when I return from my mission.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
