Hi I'm Andrea

I was born and raised in rural Idaho in the great outdoors! I am a Registered Nurse and most importantly I am a Mormon.

About Me

I work in an Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse. I love to be outdoors and I love hiking, biking, camping, water skiing, and just enjoying the beauty of nature. I am the oldest of four children and I am single.

Why I am a Mormon

The emphasis on family is a huge part of why I am a Mormon. I love my family so much and our religion teaches us that family relationships extend beyond the grave. We have been placed in families to help one another and to gain strength from each other. If I live worthy I can be with my family again. Death is not the end for the most precious relationships I have on earth. This gives me so much comfort and joy. I also know that Heavenly Father has a plan for my life and that he is guiding me in the path that I can become what he needs me to become. Jesus Christ is a central figure in our religion and we believe that he is our Savior. He died and rose again so that we might all live with him and our Father again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by trying to do the little things that increase my faith in my religion. I study the scriptures, attend Institute (a classroom setting for single adults where we learn about the gospel during the week), and attend my church meetings on Sunday. I also live my faith by trying to be an example to the people I work with and around by being positive and cheerful. I work in a high stress environment and I strive to live my faith by keeping my language clean and staying worthy to receive inspiration to guide my care of others.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

The temple is a place where we can feel the Spirit and receive answers to questions we have about where we came from and where we are going. The temple is quiet, reverent, and beautiful inside. When a new temple is completed the public is invited to attend an open house where they can tour the temple, learn about the importance on the temple, and speak with people who can answer questions. After the open house the temple is dedicated in a special ceremony and then only church members who are in good standing may enter. It is important to keep the temple clean and pure because it is the Lord's house. In the temple families are united by one who has authority and given the opportunity of living together after this life if they are worthy. This sealing of families together is the goal for all members and brings great joy and peace into families. Show more Show less
