Hi I'm Josh

I can speak Spanish. I love my family and spending time with them. I love playing basketball......and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a very athletic family and my dad introduced me to basketball when I was four years old. I have grown up playing basketball all my life and have always been playing up through high school and I hope to be able to play in college eventually. I've always had a very competitive mindset and I have always expected the best of myself. There came a time in my basketball career where I wasn't playing my best and my self-confidence dropped quite a bit. It took me a long time to regain that self-confidence and it has changed myself as a being. It has made me realize that I'm not perfect and that I fall down at times, but because I believe in God and in myself, I can overcome whatever problem I have in my life and come out of it as a stronger person with a stronger belief in God and the Atonement of Christ and how it helps all of us to change and become better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church and honestly have never really questioned whether it is true or not. I have seen miracles and blessings in my life as I have lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have received answers to prayers that have testified to me that this is His church as I have taught others about the Gospel. I can feel the Spirit so strongly as I testify and teach to others the truth and see a change starting within them to strive to be better and do what is right.

How I live my faith

I know that God loves me so much and has given me everything that I have in my life. I have thought about what I can do for Him to try and repay Him for what He has done to me and as a result, I am now serving as a full-time missionary in Mexico. It is the best decision that I have ever made in my life and I have been blessed in so many ways because of it. I have grown to really love God's children and see them as my brothers and sisters. The two greatest commandments is that we love God and that we love one another and I truly believe that serving a mission has helped me develop that love both for God and for His children. It makes all the difference in the world and in the lives of others when they know that you love them by serving them and putting their needs before your own.
