Hi I'm Steven Bennett

I was born and raised in Utah. I have a personal testimony of this restored Gospel. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I have two sisters, one older and one younger. I graduated from high school one year ago. I ran track and cross-country for my school, as well as playing the piano and violin, and soccer on the side. I am currently enrolled, and have completed my freshman year of college. My major is Mechanical Engineering. I am preparing to leave on my mission in September. I will be serving in the Rio de Janeiro Brazil Mission. My father also served a mission in the Seoul South Korea Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have grown to the love the happiness that I feel when I am apart of this church. I was born into this church, and I had been living off the testimony of my parents for many of my youth years. Once I began to grasp the concept of being who I wanted to be, I began to realize that this church is one of the the things I wanted in my life always. I am happiest when I live the commandments that have been placed before us. Many see these as a list of things that keep us from having fun. I believe it is the complete opposite. When we follow the commandments God has asked us to follow, we are keeping our mind, heart, soul, and body clean of all impurities. We are healthy, ethical, honest, and motivated to be the best we can be. I have gained a personal testimony of this Gospel through experiences in my life, good and bad, and through studying the scriptures, including the Book of Mormon. I have come to love this Gospel so much that I have given the next two years of my life to being a representative of God and serving the people of Brazil in an effort to bring them unto this Gospel. I am so excited to bring the happiness that I have had in my own life to people who have not even heard of the Gospel. I truly love and believe that this is the true Gospel on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith through how I direct my life and through the choices I make. I try my best to be nice and include everyone. My friends come from many different backgrounds, and I am grateful for the diversity I have grown up in. If there is something that needs improving in my life, I try to improve upon that aspect. I also live my faith by my church callings. Starting from a 12 year old Deacon serving in the Presidency, and all the way to being a hometeacher in my Single Adult Ward, I try to serve my calling to the best of my abilities. I share my personal testimony with others, and am not afraid to tell other that I am a Mormon. I try to show love to all, and be the happiest I can be.
