Hi I'm Jim

I grew up in Georgia. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi, I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I was not active in church until I was about 15 years old. I served a mission for the church. I lost my full time job last August. I own a small business. It has been hard trying to start a business in this economy. The Lord has blessed my familyand me with what we need. The blessings of the lord are abundant in our lives. We thank the lord for all that he does for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because Heavenly Father told me it is true. I got down on my knees and asked him if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. He has testified to me that it is true. I see him in our daily life. He hears our prayers. The church is just like it was when Jesus was on earth. A prophet, 12 apostles and other offices just like the original church. The gospel answers my question about God; they are not vague or roundabout but direct answers. I know that I am a son of God that he loves me and my family. He teaches me how to be a husband and father to my family. I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I say this in his holy name Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a Sunday school teacher. I teach the youth about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are so wonderful; each one brings a spirit to the class that is so special. I am also a Ward Missionary. I help the missionaries teach the gospel. I also home teach people in our ward. Home teaching is where you go and visit people every month. You help these people with their needs some times. I had an experience where one of my families was out of work and needed some work on her home. I went out and fixed a whole in her floor and others helped to repair a leaky roof. To serve others gives you a good warm feeling inside.
