Hi I'm Rick

I grew up in Utah but now live in the midwest. I have been married for 8 and a half years and have 5 beautiful children.

About Me

Life is busy as a young dad with five young kids. Outside of work, any extra time I have is spent with my family. All of my goals are centered around raising my kids to be honest, decent citizens who will contribute to society. I take my responsibility seriously as a father and often seek help from my Heavenly Father to know how to raise my children. What would I do without the power of prayer!

Why I am a Mormon

There are several things I want in life. I want to be happy. I want to be good. I want my kids to be good. What the LDS Church offers is way for me to achieve these things. By living the standards set forth by the Church, and Jesus Christ himself, I know that I can be happy in this life and that I can live happily with my family in the life to come. All Jesus asks is for us to follow him and that is what I try to do.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday I have to opportunity to teach the 12 year olds in Sunday School. Our lesson are centered on how we (me included) can live and do as Christ would live and do. I am amazed at the strength of these young people, they usually teach me more than I can teach them.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Many people mistakenly think faith merely believing something that cannot be seen or touched. Mere belief is not sufficient, we must act upon belief. Acting upon faith in Jesus Christ is achieved by our daily living good lives. How can we say we have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ if we don't not follow his teachings? We cannot. Show more Show less
