Hi I'm Amy

I'm a wife. I'm a busy mother to seven great kids! I'm a homemaker, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a busy mother of SEVEN children (5 boys and 2 girls) all under the age of 14! I've been married to my very best friend now, for nearly 17 years. We live in a small rural community where we live life, cry sometimes, laugh often, raise a garden, and try our hand at raising chickens! When I'm not too busy helping with homework, cleaning, cooking and running children here and there, and doing everything else that needs to be done with young children, I really enjoy playing the piano! Someday, when I can find the time, I want to be able to write my own songs! Life is beautiful and I have been so blessed by a loving Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity to be a member of this great church my entire life! I grew up in a large family with parents who taught us each day about our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been fortunate to just always have known in my heart that God lives and that he loves each one of us. Because of the love he has for me, I love the Lord and I want to follow him and do everything I can to follow his example! I want to teach my children to love him and follow him too! I want them to learn to rely on him. Everyday we are teaching our children the importance of trying to live a righteous life so that when they are on their own, they will be able to make choices that are guided by his holy spirit. With the Lord in their lives, they can and will accomplish anything in this world.

How I live my faith

live my faith, day by day, little by little. We try to teach our children to just be kind and to show love to others. To live by the teachings our Savior, Jesus Christ taught each day. We try to teach them that serving others is far more fulfilling than serving their own interests. In our church, we have opportunities for service each day. Taking meals into homes for those who are ill, visiting with others who are lonely, helping others when they need a helping hand, and serving in our church callings. One of my callings is to be able to play for our church choir! Sometimes, it is the only time that I have to actually sit down and play the piano! I look at it as an opportunity to play what's in my heart! Music has such an impact on others. It can be an impact for good and I choose to use it as a way to uplift and inspire others. I feel that playing is a way to convey what the Spirit of our Heavenly Father is trying to say through song. The Lord has blessed each one of us with different talents and capabilities. I am no Beethoven, but I am so grateful that he has given me a chance to share my testimony to others through song.
