Hi I'm Kelly Lynn Stoddard

I grew up in Nebraska. I attend BYU-I. I'm married to A wonderful man with great potential! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello! I'm Kelly Stoddard! I am currently attenting Byu-Idaho and am studying English but really haven't a clue as to what I really want to do! I love to laugh, joke around and help others feel good about themselves! I was recently married in the Salt Lake temple to a very loving husband named Spencer! He treats me like a woman should be treated, something I've always dreamed of happening but wasn't sure it would! And it did! He is currently studying emergency services. I am the youngest of five children and just love the idividuality of my sibilings. I love to learn from others! I love to bake! I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the church for 4 years now! The decision to become a member of this church was the best decision I've ever made! When I was about 20 years old I had a huge desire to come closer to God! I tried to make covenants with him to live better, but it just didn't quit work out! I prayed hard that if the relationship I was in was meant to work out that he (God) would let it and that if it wasn't that he would lead me where he wanted me to go and I would follow! Then I was lead to the missionaries in my home town in Nebraska! My friend and I were driving around and honked at two guys in suits, we tought they were lawyers, and I liked to flirt :) We drove past them and my friend suggested that we go back....so we did! They introduced themselves and I saw Jesus Christ on thier name tag so was instantly interested! They invited us to hear a gospel lesson from them that evening and we agreed! I will never forget how I felt when they walked away! I really saw them as two angels, and that is how it will always be imprinted in my mind! I'm so greatful for those two missionaries! They helped God help me change my life! Everything I was taught and have learned in the church since has been easy for me to accept! Everything that I wanted to come closer to God they had and the church taught! Nothing has ever helped me to feel so close to my Heavenly Father and to my Savior! I never imagined this! I went from a life of sorrow and confusion of who I was and what I shoud do to knowing who I am and what I can do with the Lord's help. I have purpose and am a meaningful person! I feel that if anyone would sit down and sincerely listen to the missionaries or the members, what they have to share or teach about the church, that the understaning would of who we are and what we believe would, with no doubt bring them closer to God, like me! It's worth a shot! I believe in prophets and apostels in these days, the Book of Mormon, Personal Revelation, Angels, Visons, Family!

How I live my faith

I love going to church! I go every Sunday for three hours! It sounds crazy, but just like wanting to learn anything else, you must give it a little more time and attention to progress in the knowledge and/or experience of it! I have had the opportunity to serve in many different ways in the church and have loved and learned from them all! I currently serve as a Family History Consultant with my husband! Among other things, we help members understand family history work, find there ansestors and prepare thier names to be submitted to the temple so that they can recieve saving ordinances, like baptism and recieveing the gift of the Holy Ghost. I don't have too much family History work done so this opportunity to serve is perfect for me, so that I can understand how to get my line of ancestory more developed! To be honest though, it's kind of difficult! But it's worth it! We also bring snacks every week, so that gets me excited! :)
