Why I am a Mormon

I converted to church when I was 15-years-old. My Dad was a convert who joined the Church along with my aunts and uncles in the Philippines. I joined the Church shortly after my wonderful Mom passed away from ovarian cancer in 2005. It was the hardest experience that I've ever gone through in my life and one of the catalysts for my decision to become a Mormon was the utmost kindness that members of the Church and members of my Dad's ward in Fallbrook had shown towards taking care of my Mom & my family while my Mom was sick. Then, I read the Book of Mormon & developed a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the scriptures, & Joseph Smith. Becoming a Mormon is one of the best decisions that I've ever made in my life. I haven't been the most perfect Latter-Day Saint & I've made some wrong decisions in my life, but I know that all of the fantastic experiences and opportunities that I've had and the goals and accomplishments that I've reached have been because Our Heavenly Father always wants me to be happy and always wants me to succeed in my life. He loves me, has always loved me, and always will.

How I live my faith

Remembering that I'm a child of God. Reading the scriptures & praying. Knowing that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. Keeping Our Heavenly Father's commandments & covenants. Acting like Jesus Christ. Being kind, helpful, happy, & friendly to everyone I know & meet. Always having a smile on my face.
