Hi I'm Hannah

Just your average 19 year old gal, loving life... each and every day.

About Me

I am a true born Canadian and have a lot of pride in my nationality. Although, I spent the majority of my youth in Texas and consider that to be the place I grew up. I love my family and am the second oldest of five children. I love to run, just for fun. (I know that's crazy having running and fun in the same sentence) but I honestly love it! I have grown up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I am so grateful for that, because it has helped to shape me into who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have learned that I can't get through trials in my life alone. When I was younger I dealt with hard things happening in my life by getting bitter, stubborn and closed off from others. As I have grown older and have developed a true testimony and faith in the gospel I have learned that I don't need to let my trials bottle up inside of me, and battle them alone. I have come to realize that I have a Savior who I can always turn to for strength. He has suffered and died for me, so that he can understand all that I go through. I can turn to him whenever I am feeling hurt, sad, confused, or alone and He will give me the peace and strength that I need to keep on going. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, and because I know that this is His Church back on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I feel like so many people think they need to do such big things to live their faith: Do some extravagant project, or change their whole culture to become a member of the church. I think being a Mormon, and living my beliefs is a lot simpler than someone might think. I love the scripture, Alma 37:6, "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass" I live my faith by doing just that. I try to read my scriptures daily, say my prayers, strengthen my family, and find little opportunities to serve wherever I can. I then try to become better in these areas little by little. As I do these things I feel closer to God.
