Hi I'm Orrin

I was raised on a small town on the Navajo reservation, I love life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just recently completed my freshman year of college. I don't know exactly what field I want to go into, but I want to go into a profession that allows me to help others. I was able to set three state records in weightlifting while attending school and sporadically training in my apartment and in my brothers garage. For now I am setting my schooling and weightlifting aside to serve a two-year mission in Tampa, Florida. For the next two years my purpose will be to invite others to come unto Christ by receiving the restored gospel through faith in Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Both of my parents are first generation converts who taught me and their other five children gospel principles growing up. Now as I have been living on my own, it has been vital to gain my own testimony of the restored gospel. I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon and I have prayed about them. I know that they are true. I know that the fullness of the gospel has been restored through the a man named Joseph Smith who was called as a prophet to restore the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. I know that we have a modern-day prophet as well, just as we did in the past, and that the prophet still receives revelation from God. I am thankful for the atonement of Christ. I have felt it working in my life, and I have seen and felt the joy that comes from changing my life and aligning my will with God's will. I love my family and because of the gospel I know that I can live again for eternity with them. I know that we are all children of a Heavenly Father who loves us and wants us to become like him. Through the plan of salvation, which shows us why where here and where were going, we can live again with our Father in Heaven as we repent, are baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and then endure to the end. I'm far from perfect, but as I strive to live the gospel and to love my fellow man I'm becoming more like the man I want to become.

How I live my faith

For the next two years of my life I will be sharing what I believe with everyone I can. The gospel brings great joy to my life and it has blessed my family in countless ways. Because I have this knowledge, I want to share it with others so their lives can be blessed by living the gospel also. I am thankful for this short time when I get to devote all of my efforts to sharing it with my Brothers and Sister throughout the world. I strive to live my life according to my beliefs and to view others as our Father in Heaven views them. I have found that as I put the Lord first in my life, everything else seems to fall into place.
