Hi I'm Jules

Hi my name is Jules and I am a high school geometry and health teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a high school teacher for three years. My husband and I met in college and have been married for over four years and are expecting our first child in September. We love everything outdoors including hiking, water skiing, bike riding, tennis, boating and spending time with family. I coached a local high school girls Varsity basketball team for the last two years and loved it. I love to exercise, but I also love to cook and to eat. My husband likes to make me try new foods, which has been fun in the last year and I actually am finding I like a lot of foods that I didn't think I would! I enjoy fashion and love finding deals on cute clothes. I am really close to my family and talk to my parents and sister multiple times each week. We have been on three cruises since being married. It is a great way to see different parts of the country. My husband is in Medical school and has less than one year left!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know Christ lives and that he suffered for me. I know the teachings help me each day to be a better person and a better example to my students, colleagues and friends. The church keeps me grounded and I continue to learn more each Sunday I attend. It is a place of comfort. The Book of Mormon is another comforter that I can read whenever I want. I feel good when I pray daily, read the Book of Mormon and try my best to keep the commandments. It is amazing to know you can live with your family forever after this life. I love knowing we have a prophet alive today to help us and to guide us. My mom was converted to the church around 20 years old and my dad returned to the church around the same time. I am blessed to have been born to parents that took me to church each Sunday and I continue to follow His gospel because I know for myself that it is the true gospel and there is nothing else I would rather do than to serve my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I go to church each Sunday and to activities that may be during the week. I have played the piano since junior high and played for years at church. For two years I worked with the girls 12-18 years of age. We plan fun activities for them every Tuesday of the week and then have a lesson each Sunday for one hour. I am now working with the missionaries and am excited to see how I can help them share the message of the church with those that have never heard of our faith.
