Hi I'm John Cordtz

I am 19 and living the missionary life. I'm happy to be serving the Lord in this great work. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19, I am serving a full-time mission and I am enjoying the missionary life. I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was nine years old and was give the gift of the Holy Ghost. I love being a missionary now because Heavenly Father is revealing things unto to me things I have never seen before. I love serving others because I know that being selfish is what Satan wants and I want what my Heavenly Father wants me to be. I love obeying my Heavenly Father's commandments because He gives us true happiness when we obey them. I would like to serve the communities of the world because I want to see joy in people's lives and not misery. Everyone is precious to our Heavenly Father and I know this to be true with all of my heart. I want to live the life Heavenly Father has planned for me, even if I think it is not right for me because He knows us better. I love our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and everything that they have given us that will benefit our lives in this dispensation.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I chose to be Mormon. I was given the missionary lessons at the age of nine and I still believe in what they have taught. I know that this is the true church. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the current president of the church, and love him for the role that he has played in my life. I know that Joseph Smith was a significant instrument of the Lord and did restore the gospel of Christ, with the helping hand of God. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sorrows, my sins, and my sufferings. He died because He loves God's children and did it for you and me. I know that He still loves us and does live at this very moment, with our Heavenly Father. I know that Heavenly Father does live and is waiting for us to return unto him. I love everyone and would love to serve anyone in every way I can. I'm trying to be like Jesus. I can not wait to see my Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, and those who I have served and will serve when we return unto to them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by becoming a disciple of Christ each and everyday. I love reading the scriptures and saying my prayers, both in the morning and at night. I repent as much as possible so that I can become what Heavenly Father wants me to be. I love to serve others because I am here to serve my Heavenly Father's children. I put people before myself because that is what Jesus did and I will follow Him.

What is being a Mormon like?

John Cordtz
It is about living God's commandments, and having fun living them. There is a lovely reward when we do follow them, and sometimes it is not materialistic. Being a "Mormon" is worth it. When I am called of a "Mormon" and am criticized for, I tell myself " Man, they do not know what they are missing. I wish I can tell them, if they would listen." It is also being able to allow a change in your heart, and it is a significant and fantastic change. Show more Show less
