Hi I'm John

I've lived in 5 different countries. I am CFO of a car repair company as well as a farmer at home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of eight children, 6 girls and 2 boys, married to a beautiful wife for now over 35 years. All our children have grown up to be mature adults that I am proud of, that contribute to their communities and country. One is currently serving in the Air Force overseas. I have worked in finance for over 30 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I came to know about Mormonism through my early studies of US history while living in Australia. I was first fascinated by the teachings of the church and the way members lived their religion. This prompted me to study more and I came to know the value of their teachings. I learned how important the family was to them and the value they placed on their religion and their teachings. My mother and my brothers and sisters all decided that we would like to enjoy these same blessings. I have had no regrets in now having been a member over 40 years. It has blessed my own family with allowing me to find a beautiful wife and being able to have and raise a large family. It continues to bless the lives of all my children which I will forever be thankful for.

How I live my faith

I have been active in my church serving at times as a teacher, finance clerk and employment councilor. I have done this as well as volunteering in numerous community activities. I was a girls soccer coach for many years as my girls were growing up. I have been involved in Scouts and am proud of both my sons being Eagle Scouts. My family has always been involved with our schools helping out in all kinds of charitable functions and community fund raisers. My wife helps out in the local schools by substitute teaching and so continues to play a very active role in helping the community. I also serve on the Board of a large financial institution and serve as president of my local CPA chapter.
