Hi I'm Wanda

I was born and raised in New York. Puertorrican descendant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love dogs and I love to help find good homes to those that are less fortunate. I love Caribbean food and Italian food as well (I am a quarter of Italian). I also love to travel and know other cultures. That makes me a people person and I really don't have a problem when it comes to talk to others as it comes very natural. I currently work as a Counselor/Therapist in the child protection field in the state I currently reside.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know with all my heart that this is the only true Church. By being a member of His Church I have learn to face life with a different approach as I know that my goal in this life of trial is to one day be with my Heavenly Father and thank my Savior for his infinite love for me that he willingly gave his life for me and mankind. This gospel had brought happiness into my life.

How I live my faith

Twenty years ago I came across a Church commercial that stated, "If you want to know more about Our Heavenly Father's Plan, call this number". As I always been very good with numbers I called and a few weeks after I made that phone call, five missionaries came knocking on my door. For my surprise I called, The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter Day Saints. They game the video I requested and for the greatest surprise the Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus-Christ. About three years priors I saw the picture of the Book of Mormon and I wanted to read it. I wanted to read that book that clearly stated that it was, another testament of Jesus-Christ. I always knew that there was something else, others scriptures besides the Bible that was going to help me get closer to God. A week after I began to meet with the missionaries I was baptized. I never had any doubt in my heart that the Church and the teachings were true. I always explain what I felt is that I was remembering everything. I never had any doubt of the truthfulness of the restoration. That the truth was again here on earth and that God in His immense love for me was giving me the chance to receive it in this life time. I have had the chance to serve in the church with the youth from the beginning and I know work with the new members of the Church as for those who are first comers and want to learn more about the Mormon faith. I love the Church and by serving others is how I show my Heavenly Father and His son and Savior Jesus-Christ that I love them.
