Hi I'm Henry

I am an artist, food-lover and book-reader. I will never stop learning. I will never stop traveling. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fan of the beautiful game, or soccer for short, and I love playing with anyone, anywhere, anytime. One of my favorite reasons for playing is meeting new people. I enjoy meeting people in many ways and this is one of the reasons that drove me to learn languages. I have taken courses in Arabic and French and have spent time in France and West Africa for both of these languages. I could walk around any city for hours simply exploring. My father is a Professor and I have inherited his love of teaching also. Talking to people and learning from them and the world is very important to me. I never want to stop learning and you could say discovery is a hobby of mine. In many instances I enjoy challenging myself. Whether that be cliff jumping off a fifty foot rock or attempting to learn a new instrument. I tend to be very friendly and willing to help anyone who needs it. I try hard to better myself for others, especially my family and friends. If I could live anywhere it would be in a large city or near a beach, and if I could do anything right this moment I would learn to surf. At the moment I am attending BYU and am also preparing to serve a two-year LDS mission in Tahiti.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of Jesus Christ and his Atonement. By reading the Book of Mormon I have come to know Christ and his plan for me. I've felt his love and presence in my life along with direction. It's difficult to be a Mormon often; however, I am a Mormon because it makes me truly happy, unlike anything else. I hope to follow the example of Christ by loving and serving others. The Spirit is what testifies this truth and happiness to me and confirms my role as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I attempt to live my faith by serving others. The gospel is about serving others. I am currently an assistant scout master and although there are only two scouts it's great. I recently received my Eagle Scout and hope to continue adding to the program and community. As a home teacher I visit families in the ward and give them lessons, along with offering and giving help where needed. I live by faithfully attending Church meetings on Sunday and throughout the week and always praying. Recently I have been called to serve a two year mission for the people of Tahiti. I'm excited to be able to get to know these people and their culture. I'll be helping in any way I can while also teaching the Gospel to these people. I'm leaving behind my family, college, and much of my life in order to share what I have to other people. I look forward to the day when I go. I live my faith happily.
