Hi I'm Rachel

Dancer. Obsessed with knitting, my husband, and my babies - not particularly in that order...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work at home as a full time mama. My hubby is the most attractive ginger on the planet. I used to dance. I still sing. Hobbies: knitting, crocheting, reading, baking, napping, and sarcasm.

Why I am a Mormon

It's kind of like asking me why I think ice cream is delicious. I'm Mormon because it's the only thing that makes the most sense to me. The gospel keeps me sane.

How I live my faith

On purpose and with honesty. Religion isn't a race to see who can memorize scriptures the fastest or hold the highest callings. I believe in the gospel and that it is here because I deserve to know and have the truth. I believe it is entirely possible to completely change for the better, no matter what your background is. I don't know why some trials have to be so much worse than others and that they usually happen to innocent children and good people. But I know that God isn't the one who wants us to suffer. I hate it, but sometimes harder trials mean bigger blessings. Bring it on.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The gospel is all-inclusive. We want everyone to know about the gospel. The missionaries' jobs are to make sure that everyone knows about it so they can discover for themselves who they really are. God wants all of us to return to Him, and the best way to do that is to understand where we really come from. The missionaries teach these things to those who have not yet learned about the gospel.
