Hi I'm Nathan Hughes

I am from Idaho, and my life is an adventure. I'm a student, I'm a musician, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love life. There is so much to appreciate and enjoy in this world. My passion is learning, and the more I learn the more I realize how little I truly understand. I love it when people give it their all and and really want to make or become something great. My goal then is to be passionate about everything I do, and really to give it my all in every aspect of life. Music is definitely one of my passions. I love both to listen to music and to to make it. In high school, drumline and playing drum set were what I did. I spent hours in private lessons and practicing at home trying to be the best I possibly could be. I love spending hours jamming away to my favorite songs trying to come up with new creative beats or fills. As I moved away to college, I found that opportunities to play and practice drums became limited - and so I picked up the acoustic guitar. Listening wise, I have favorite artists in almost every genre - from jazz to rap to rock to EDM. Another passion I discovered in college - a love for the corporate business world and world financial markets. I'm currently working on being accepted into the accounting program at my university, with the hopes of using that degree and the jobs I can get with it as a stepping stone into that field.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church and its teachings are helping me live up to my true potential. I know my purpose in life and I know that as I live God's commandments and serve him that he will help me become what I was meant to become and live to the fullest of my potential. As I have done this, I have found greater happiness and peace in my life than I could have ever hoped to achieve. My conviction and desire to live the gospel of Jesus Christ grows every day as I receive and recognize the blessings God has given me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by applying the teachings of Jesus Christ in my everyday life. For me the most important aspect of faith is acting on what you believe. I live my faith by making and keeping covenants with God, following his commandments, and learning about his son Jesus Christ with the intent to understand and apply characteristics of him in my life.
