Hi I'm Marissa

I'm a graduate student studying speech language pathology. I speak Ilonggo. I love cheese. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a first year graduate student, and can't wait to be a speech language pathologist. I love learning, hiking, and playing with my nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy that comes into my life as I live the gospel. I think one of the biggest things for me is simply reading the Book of Mormon everyday. Life is crazy, everything from school to work to family to friends, sometimes it's hard to find a free moment. But I know that if I read the Book of Mormon everyday I'll have the guidance, comfort, and help that I need for the everyday questions, trials, and struggles. Also I know that as I have read the Book of Mormon I have a developed a greater relationship with my Savior, and come to a better understanding of his atoning sacrifice, and what that means for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the little things. It's incredible the joy that we can bring others and especially the joy that comes into our own lives through the little things we do. I've had the opportunity to become great friends with an elderly lady who lives down the street from my parents. Through the little things like helping her get her groceries to visiting her at the rehabilitation center I think I have received more joy and greater blessings than she has.
