Hi I'm Arica

I grew up in Ohio. I am a happy mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many and... I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother. I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, crafting, sewing, and seeing that my home is a place where an abundance of love can be felt.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a very small town. I always felt that I just didn't fit anywhere in the world. For years I stumbled through this world wondering if I would ever figure out what seemed to be missing. The world was a hard place and over the years there were many hard knocks. One day, the missionaries showed up at my door. I decided that I would allow them to come and wanted to hear what they had to say. I was quite skeptical, having previously only attended churches of various other faiths. The missionaries asked that I pray and ask if the things I read, the things they taught, were true. I found myself thinking, what could it possibly hurt to pray and ask. I believed in prayer. I knew that God was there and believed that He would answer. I prayed that night and the feeling that I got from that single prayer continues to stay with me to this day. I knew after that night of a certainty that I had a very loving and understanding Heavenly Father. There were many questions in my mind and I desired to know so much more. This led to more visits with the Missionaries. As they continued to teach me, my thirst for knowledge grew more and more. I looked forward to their visits. I know, without a doubt that the answers they guided me to find are the true answers and that the Book of Mormon is without a doubt true. I know that our Heavenly Father not only loves us but suffers with us and wants us to succeed in this life. I also know that if it is knowledge and answers we wish to find that it is through the scriptures, prayer and much patience that we will receive them. I know that these things are true in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

There are many things I do to live my faith. I am a visiting teacher. Another and myself go and visit several sisters of the church to see how they are doing, to lend a helping hand or whatever may be required at the time. I also serve as a ward missionary and get to help others receive the gospel and work along with the missionaries in our area. I have the privilege of meeting many new and exciting people and sharing my love for others as I gain opportunities to share the gospel. I also try to take every opportunity I get to help out a neighbor or a family member
