Hi I'm Eliza

I'm a student, a water skier, a sister, a friend, a leader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to be a senior in high school this year. I am a part of student council, band, and AP classes. I am a nanny for a one-year-old and I work part time for a wedding business. In the summer I love to play with my family (all 73 siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, parents, and grandparents) and friends, water ski, lay out in the sun, go to Girl's Camp, and play frisbee.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother's family have been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since the church was started but my father's parents joined the church just before he was born. I was born into a loving family with parents who teach me the gospel and help me strive to live it. Through the examples of my grandparents and parents and all my family, I see how the gospel can bring peace and joy into our life even in the midst of trials and challenges. I think that is the main reason I love the gospel and strive to live it every minute of my life. I need the peace and love that the knowledge of my loving Savior Jesus Christ and His infinite atonement brings into my life. I need the power of prayer in order to make it through my daily trials. I am so grateful for the knowledge that families are forever and I can live with the people I love most for the rest of eternity. I am so grateful for the guidance that comes from a living prophet on the Earth today. The scriptures give me power every day to live a life of virtue, kindness, and service. I know the Gospel is true because the Spirit testifies it to me every day in every aspect of my life. There is nothing that will make you happier in this life or in the eternities. I love the Gospel and am so grateful that I have the opportunity to live it each day. I know that my Redeemer lives. I the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be an example at all times. Whether I am at home, church, school, or with my friends, I always try to maintain very high standards. Each summer, our ward attends Girl's Camp and I have the opportunity to be a Youth Camp Leader and plan activities for all the girls in my ward for the week. I attend church every Sunday and meet with all the youth in my ward each Tuesday night for youth night. My friends are incredible and they have the same standards as me so we help each other live our faith when we are together. Although I do not have a calling yet, my parents are active members of the church and they are very faithful at attending their meetings and fulfilling their duties.
