Hi I'm Steve

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, I love the outdoors, I am a Mormon

About Me

I work full-time and am going to school part-time for a communications degree. I love the outdoors and traveling. I like to plan, at least, one out-of-state travel per year. I also enjoy the arts, anything from sketching to photography and beyond.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born and raised in the LDS gospel. As I teenager I struggled to find my place in this world and it was then that I put the gospel on the back burner. Nearly 6 years later I started to think a lot about the gospel but being gone for so long gave me doubts if I was worthy enough to enter the church buildings or even return to the gospel. I met a good friend of mine at a job we worked at together, benonce to me he was preparing to go on an LDS mission months later. Through his non-judging friendship, many long conversations and an inspiration to leave my second job and enroll in college, about a year later I regained fully activity. Though I still have many questions about my digest and where the road ahead will take me. I have a clearer roadmap of my litres journey than I ever have before.

How I live my faith

I actively attend a singles ward (the attendies are all single and under the age of 30) where I serve the ward as a Financial clerk. I am in charge of processing tithing and any reimbursement paid for activities.

How does the Church finance its operations?

Steve
All funding for the church operations comes from the tithing our members pay. We believe that everything we have (money, jobs, shelter, etc.) is due to the faith we have in Jesus Christ. And one of the ways we thank him for all of this is to give his church 10% of all money we earn. Show more Show less
