Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Cache Valley. I am currently a missionary for the church in the Oregon Portland Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old, and I am currently serving a mission for the church, and I am learning Spanish. I have been a member of The Church my whole life. Before my mission, I went to college, and I was studying biological engineering, and I will continue with that a couple years from now.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in The Church, and almost everybody in my family is a member of The Church as well. Growing up, I always enjoyed church, but I haven't always been as converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as I am now. I've always relied on my parents beliefs, and it has always been so easy to be a member of the church because I've always been surrounded by Mormons. I can't tell you the specific moment when this changed, but now I know for myself that I am living the way God wants me to. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God; I have read it and felt this for myself. I know that Joseph Smith saw God The Father and Jesus Christ, and that he was called to restore the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that only through Him can I have Eternal Life. I am so grateful that I have a loving Heavenly Father whose purpose is for me, along with all of His other children, to be happy, and I know that He is always there to listen to me.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am a missionary for The Church. I share the message of The Gospel with those who are willing to hear it. I have been in the Missionary Training Center for 2 months, learning Spanish, and I head to my mission really soon. I have decided to dedicate two years of my life to The Lord because I love Him, and I know that serving HIm will make me happier than anything else I could be doing.
