Hi I'm Megan

I leave for a year and a half mission to Vancouver Canada soon. I want to be a lawyer. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to hike and backpack. Last summer I went on my first backpacking trip and had a blast. This summer I worked by the north rim of the Grand Canyon. It was epic. I also read voraciously. I love reading everything from Jane Austin type classics to fantasy adventures. I miss my pets when I'm up at Idaho going to school, so I volunteered at a horse rescue last winter. This is my last semester of school until I graduate with my bachelors of history and head off to law school. I want to be a lawyer so I can help people out. This fall I played on a women's lacrosse team up here at school and I will never forget the great memories made.

Why I am a Mormon

This church makes me happy! I love it when I feel the witness of the Holy Spirit that something is true. Not only do I feel that the church is true, but the more I learn about it the more it makes sense. It is logical. It seems right to me that we should look out for each other and place more focus on others than ourselves. It is hard, but I guess eternal happiness and the potential to be Gods and Goddess is not something that should come easily.

How I live my faith

In church I taught the women once a week for about 45 minutes. It was kind of scary because I felt like lots of them were older and wiser than my 21 years. However, I prayed really hard and when I taught I knew I'm was not on my own. My new calling is leading the music. I just got my mission call to Vancouver Canada. Here I come Canada! I feel like when I really listen to people and care I am doing what Heavenly Father wants me to do.
