Hi I'm Jordan Hayden

I love football, videogames, reading, and sometimes getting my butt kicked in basketball. I'm Jordan and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town in North-Eastern Oregon my whole life. I am now 20 and serving in the Nebraska Omaha Mission. Before my mission I played Football and was a thrower in Track and Field. Sports are a huge part in my life, but it isn't my whole life. I served in Student Council, National Honor Society, and in the Boy Scouts in High School as well. I love to read Fantasy/Fictional books such as Harry Potter, Perseus Jackson, Odd Thomas, and a whlole lot more. I read the Book of the Mormon quite a bit before my mission, but reading and studying are very different things. Being out on a mission I've realized I didn't know didily squat about the gospel, and now I've moved from didily squat, to little above didily squat. Serving a mission is an honor. It is an honor to be able to serve those I meet and teach, and see the happiness that the gospel brings in people's lives. As I see these changes in people it brings great joy in my own life. The changes and the happiness that we recieve don't come from us. They come from our Heavenly Father. Well thats me in a nut shell.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, because of the amazing people I see in this faith. The true gospel of Jesus Christ brings fullness, and meaning to our lives. The people I see in this faith aren't just amazing by themselves. They become amazing as they grow in their beliefs in Christ. Growing up I was around these amazing people all of the time. I was also friends with a lot of kids who didn't care much about going to church. I still love my friends and still hang out with them all of the time, but I've always known that the people I've looked up to were members of the church. They were always the best examples to me. I know that I couldn't be happier doing anything else. There is a reason why mormons are so much happier. I didn't figure it out until I started to write these words. It's because this church is all about sacrifice and putting others before yourself. As you do this you quit worrying about yourself. You forget about your own problems and you feel happier as you help others. Mormons only do this, because this is what Christ has taught us. "Love one another". As we follow the commandments and become closer to Christ. We become happier, because we quit thinking about ourselves. Thats why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Faith is a form of hope, but with faith you act on that hope you have. As you act and find the truth for yourself you excercise that faith, become a better person, and become closer to Christ. I am serving a 2 year mission for the church right now, because of this mission my faith is growing like it never has before. My faith is growing so much, because of the opportunity I have to see other people's faith grow. As you increase your faith you become happier than you ever thought possible. It's a different happiness. It feels like it feels your whole body with joy, and the feeling only gets stronger as you excercise your faith.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Jordan Hayden
Josepth Smith was an amazing individuall, but we do not worship him. We see him as a mouthpiece to the lord and as a prophet. We worship our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
