Hi I'm Madison

I grew up in Alabama. I moved to Idaho for school and got married. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a southern girl. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors. Trips to the beach, playing sports, walks, swimming, singing, playing the piano, road-trips, spending time with my boys, and tanning are just a few things I enjoy. I'm married to the most wonderful man ever and we have two beautiful boys! They are the joy of our lives. Being a parent is hard work, but we are so grateful that God has entrusted us with two of His little ones. I graduated from BYU-Idaho in April and my husband is continuing his education online.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was a little girl I've been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I love it with all my heart. I am so grateful for the service and love we render to each person in and outside our faith. I love my Savior and am grateful for his atoning sacrifice on the cross. I love the atonement because it enables me to repent, be forgiven, and start fresh. So why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It gives meaning to my life. If I didn't have the gospel of Jesus Christ I wouldn't have anything. I wouldn't have the family I now have and I wouldn't have the standards I now live by. My whole life I've been taught to get married in the temple to a righteous young man and after marriage to have children. A year and a half ago I was married for all time and eternity in the Raleigh, North Carolina temple. My marriage is forever. I will not be separated from my husband at death and that is a beautiful thought. After we were married we had a little boy and he is our pride and joy. I know that motherhood is the greatest calling I could ever have and I am more than willing to raise up God's precious children in love and in righteousness. I continue to follow Christ's gospel because I know it is true. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ in the sacred grove. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and truly testifies of Christ. Families can be together forever. Being LDS means being part of a family. And not just any family, but our Father in Heaven's family. Because I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my life has meaning.

How I live my faith

I go visiting teaching. This is a calling in our church where myself and another woman go and visit two or three other women each month. These women are our friends and we help them in any way we can. I also play the piano for the 3-11 year olds. We sing songs about Jesus and His gospel.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

When I go out into nature I can see God everywhere. He created the earth. Just seeing the beauty of the grass, the sky, the flowers... He's in every blade of grass, every wisp of wind, and every cloud in the sky. You have to look and you'll see Him. When you have a child of your own you can't help but come to the realization that God is real. Show more Show less
