Hi I'm Amber Crofts

My home is Beaverton, Oregon. My first job was teaching gymnastics. I love American Sign Language. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love gymnastics and cheerleading. I am a student at Brigham Young University. I work at the Law School Library. I have one older sister who is serving a mission in Japan. I love to listen to cello music and to read non-fiction books. One day I hope to mentor children who are deaf. I love to meet new people and to travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the affect it has had on my life. I am a better person because of the church. When I follow the principles it teaches me I can see a notable difference in my life. I believe that it is through Christ and His gospel I can be my best self. I can do anything with the Lord and so I would do anything for the Lord. I know that through small sacrifices I will be given great rewards. Last summer I was able to go on a study abroad with BYU to five different countries in Europe. One of my favorite parts was going to church each Sunday. I loved experiencing a new branch or ward. It was a great opportunity to meet new members. I love the fact that no matter where you are in the word you are able to visit the church with a handful or a few hundred members. It is amazing! The same, true, principles are taught all throughout the world. That is what I love the most.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active in it. I try to not only be active individually but as a collective church as a whole. Though I haven't served a mission myself, I have such a love for those who are serving. I write letters and send little packages to many of my friends. I am in constant communications with many of my friends who are out serving right now. From Arizona to Finland. They are throughout the whole world sharing the gospel. I love hearing about how their missions are going and how they are helping people to know more about the church. I probably could fill a dozen shoe boxes with the amount of letters I have. Whenever I get a letter, I treasure the words that they write. I live my faith by finding the good and being the good in the world. I believe I can make a difference wherever I go. I know that all good things come from God, so it is my goal to seek out those things and to be one myself. To leave people better than I found them. It is through us that God meets another's need. That can be me. I can uplift those around me.
