Hi I'm Jean

I grew up in Omaha, NE and Houston, TX. I went to BYU and served a mission in Nagoya, Japan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom to three beautiful children and a wife to a wonderful husband. I teach at an international school and love to learn about different cultures and religions around the world. I enjoy reading, crocheting and painting in my free time.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church and the teachings that help us return to a loving Heavenly Father. I believe Joseph Smith was a chosen person to perform the many tasks he was called to do. Through his faith and trials, we have the Book of Mormon to read anytime we wish. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and reading the words of the prophets will guide us to a happy life. I enjoy listening to our current prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and receiving continuous confirmation that he is also chosen to be a modern-day prophet. Jesus Christ atoned for our sins that we may repent and return to live with Heavenly Father and our ancestors for all eternity. It is comforting to know that this time on earth is to help us grow, learn and progress.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to people I associate with and be the best person I can be. I also teach at church and am reminded of all the wonderful blessings I receive by learning more about our Savior's church. I am truly blessed and happy to know that I have an eternal family who love me.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Husband, wife and families can be together forever. Death does not end the relationships we have with our loved ones. Family members who accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and follow His example can be together forever through sacred ordinances performed in God's hold temples. These ordinances seal a husband and wife together for all eternity and children to their parents as an eternal family. ("The Family: A Proclamation to the World") Show more Show less
