Hi I'm Tanner

I'm a student, a saxophonist, I love math and science, I love people and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I smile! When I meet someone, I want them to first notice my smile. I love people! I love meeting people and getting to be friends with them. I attended Lehi High School in Lehi, Utah where I was a drum major (student leader and conductor) for the marching band for two years. I loved the opportunity that being a drum major and a musician gave me to meet so many people throughout my high school career. I have performed with the Utah All-state Band and with the Utah Wind Symphony, both wonderful opportunities that would not have been possible if it were not for the divine guidance I received from my Heavenly Father! I am currently serving a mission for the Church in the Dominican Republic. When I get home, I will attend a university (probably either Utah State University or Brigham Young University) and study engineering (electrical, mechanical, biological, computer; I can't decide!) with a minor in music.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply stated, I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that Jesus Christ lives. He came down to Earth and offered Himself a sacrifice for our sins so we can return to our Father in Heaven more perfected than we now are or ever have been if we repent with humble and sincere faith in Christ. I testify that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the sinner and the saint, the slave and the master, the peasant and the king, you and I and all who have, do and will walk on this earth. He knows me just as he knows each of you. He stands at the head of His church and He leads His church by modern revelation through His prophets. He lives, and His church is on the earth this very day. How glorious a knowledge this is! These things I testify in the holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try my very hardest to emulate Jesus Christ and do as I know He would do in my place. I love, learn and seek truth. I am constantly reflecting on the wonderful truths I have found in the Gospel and am continuously seeking to better myself--a wonderful opportunity proffered me by virtue of the Savior's loving, atoning, healing sacrifice. I naturally love people, which is certainly a gift from God that has blessed and enriched my life. I serve wherever I can, often by sharing simple, loving, encouraging words, smiles and hugs. I hope, which hope I have because of Jesus Christ, that I can become more like the Savior each day until I wake up some day in Heaven, perfect as He is.
