Hi I'm Allison

I grew up in Washington. We moved to Utah when I was 8. I'm studying photography at Utah Valley University. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and surround myself with good friends. I spend a lot of time laughing and enjoying life with my family and friends and waste no time in getting to know them. I love the outdoors and especially using my skills in photography to capture that. I love photography and spend everyday thinking about it, photographing or coming up with new ideas to adventure with it. I'm majoring in Photography at Utah Valley University and work there as the Darkroom Lab TA. I absolutely love working with and helping the students take photos using film, chemical processing and the darkroom to find their creative voice. It's amazing!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life! From the time I was baptized at 8 to right now! I love it! I've known the Gospel was true since I was young, and it only reinforced my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel when I read the Book of Mormon, which I would encourage anyone to do! It is a true and inspiring book, brought forth to teach us in these latter days. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it has enabled me to come to know Christ, to be a better person, to understand my purpose here on earth, and to know how to sacrifice and serve others. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet, here to guide and direct us in a world filled with commotion and turmoil. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that each of us can receive revelation for ourselves to know our purpose and the infinite love that our Heavenly Father has for each and every one of us. I know that our Savior lives, that he suffered in Gethsemane to pay the price for our sins, died, and was resurrected so that we could return to live with our Father in Heaven. I am so deeply grateful for the Gospel and the restoration of the church. I know that if we can endure to the end, and use the Atonement of our Savior, we can live with Him again!

How I live my faith

I have a firm testimony in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I live it by participating in all of my Church meetings, fulfilling my calling, and acting in a way that I know is in accordance with the standards set by the Church. I know I'm not perfect. I'm nowhere near perfect! But I do my best to live in a way that the Savior would be pleased with me, through reading the scriptures and applying it to my everyday life, to attending the Temple, to doing my visiting teaching, that is how I live my faith. Love for God and obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel are key!
