Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a wife and a mother. I'm a sister and a daughter. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona and I have a true love for this beautiful desert state.I attended Arizona State University and graduated with my degree in elementary education. I taught second grade for just one year before my husband was accepted to law school at The Ohio State University. During the three years we spent in Ohio, we added two beautiful children to our family and developed a passion for Buckeye football. I spend my days playing with my beautiful children, avoiding the dirty dishes, and trying to find some "me time" to do some reading, crafting, or baking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. When I was a teenager, I felt the need to find out for myself if what I had been taught my whole life was true. I read the Book of Mormon and took Moroni's promise to heart. After praying to find out if the Book of Mormon was true, I had an unmistakable feeling of comfort and warmth and I knew the Lord was answering my prayer. That was many years ago and I know now more than ever that the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture. This church brings hope and joy into my life. Joy is to be with my family, and I have faith that I can be together with my family forever. This is possible because of Jesus Christ. He gave his life for me, for everyone, so that we all can return to live with Him. His sealing power has bound me to my husband and family, so that when we die we will be together again. I have felt His overwhelming, life-changing love for me. I am constantly amazed at His sacrifice and love for me.

How I live my faith

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to serve in many different areas in the Church. My favorite positions to serve in always involve the youth. Currently, my husband and I work together to teach the 12-13 year old Sunday School class. We strive to teach these youth how to be good examples to their families and friends, as well as how they can come closer to their Heavenly Father.
