Hi I'm Katherine

I am a math nerd. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is the most important part of my life, aside from the gospel. They are my best friends. We moved around a lot growing up so we all learned to depend heavily on each other. I grew up in a tiny town in the Catskill Mountains and am currently a Middle School Math Teacher in Phoenix, Arizona. In my free time, when I have any, I love playing the piano, organ, violin and reading. My goal is to be sealed in the temple and have an eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

It was not until a few years ago that I developed my own testimony. I used to go to church because everyone else in my family went but now I go to church because I want to go. I love this church because it makes me very happy. It is amazing to know that Jesus Christ loves each and every one of us and wants us to be happy. I know that He is always there and that He is always willing to help us, we just need to ask and to express our gratitude to Him. I have had several amazing experiences which have testified to me the importance of this gospel.

How I live my faith

Growing up, my siblings and I were the only members our age. Because of this, we had to be firm in the faith and be an example. At times this was a challenge, but I knew that I would be happier if I were to keep the commandments. The scriptures have become a great companion and I find that they can answer any of my questions. At work, I put several pictures of my family on my wall. My students will ask me questions about my family and how we could be so happy. I have realized that I can share the gospel simply by sharing pictures of my family with my students.
