Hi I'm Amanda Berens

I am self-employed, which enables me to pursue my writing full-time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 27 years old, a college graduate, a writer and I am a Mormon. I joined the church a little over a year ago and I have only grown with love and spiritual fulfillment since. I now plan to go on a mission soon despite my age, I want to help others find the love and happiness that I have found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Book of Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church is true and I love every bit of it. I always tried to do what was right and follow the Lord, but I felt disconnected from him and didn't always know what to do. Now I not only know my Heavenly Father loves me, but that I can talk to him at any moment and he always listens. I know exactly where I am going in life and how to get there. I may not know all the steps, but I know where to turn for help and I will never be alone again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do and say. I am a relief society teacher which has made me grow by leaps and bounds. I used to be shy especially with public speaking, but I have found that when I allow the Spirit to lead me speaking in public is easy and enjoyable. I also find that writing comes easier and more natural to me. I have always loved to write, but now I have so much more to write about and it means more when I do write something.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Amanda Berens
The Holy Ghost is separate being from Christ and our Heavenly Father. They work together, but the Holy Ghost can dwell within each of us as long as we are living worthy of his presence and staying in places that the Holy Ghost can exist within. The Holy Ghost is many things, but mostly is a voice of warning and a comforter. Yet you must listen closely to hear his message most of the time. Only in times of dire need does the Holy Ghost speak loudly enough to be heard over all the distractions of the world. Show more Show less
