Hi I'm DeWayne Lazenby

I grew up in Utah and since then I've lived in Poland, Ohio, and Massachusetts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four children and we are expecting number five in a few months. I am a pediatrician. I speak Polish, Spanish and Italian. I'm active duty in the Air Force and recently moved back to the United States after living for six years in northern Italy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that the doctrine is pure. It is true. I love it. I love the feeling of taking the Sacrament every week and feeling clean. I love to feel the Spirit of the Lord. I know it is true because of what it says in Matthew 7:15-20 and in Moroni 7. God has made so much more of my life that I could have made for myself. I love His Gospel and His Church. I love its leaders and feel God speaking to me through them. The gospel brings stability, peace and joy to my life during these tumultuous times.

How I live my faith

I try to show love to everyone I meet. My life's work is to be the best husband and father that I can be. Reading God's word and prayer are part of each day. One of my favorite moments of the day is just before bedtime. We sing a song "Let us gather in a circle and kneel in family prayer, and thank our Heavenly Father for the blessings we all share." By the end of the short song all the kids are in a circle ready for prayer. Our 14 month-old has just started kneeling and folding her arms when we sing the song. It is really cute, even though it only lasts for about five seconds. I like Christ's teaching 'if ye are my disciples then ye will love one another.' I think showing love, respect and kindness in all situations to all people know matter what is given to me shows more than anything in Whom I believe. I still have a long way to go, but that is my goal, to reflect Christ's love to all.
