Hi I'm Cameron

I am from Boise, Idaho. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old, and i am serving a mission in Tennessee. I have three younger brothers and a mother and father, and a chow mixed terrier named Gracee. I love the outdaoors! I like to go mountain biking, play ultimate frisbee, and frisbee golf. when I was sixteen years old I was working on my Eagal project. What I did was I collected as much reading material that I could and some money, so that I could send them to my Grandparents. Who were serving a mission in Jakarta, Indonesia. Those books were to help the kids over there be able to learn english at there school. It felt really good to know that so many people were willing to help kids in a different country that they didnt even know! I too feel great to know that I will help someone become to learn a different language t be sucessful in life!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church. My parents were LDS, and s were my Grandparents. So the LDS church is all I know most about than any other religion. I would be here serving a mission if it weren't for two sets of missionaries almost fifty-five years ago. My Grandfather was going to be a Catholic Priest. He said that to a bus driver when he was only sixteen years old. the bus driver told him to wait a moment, and the bus driver came back with two missionaries. those missionaries talked with my Grandfather, and he joined the church when he was seventeen. My Grandmother was going through a tough time with her father passing away. She came home after school one day and found some missionaries sitting in the family room. Those Missionaries taught the Plan of Salvation to her. That lesson gave her hope that she would see her father again. She was baptized at the age of fifthteen. Then they both meet at the same church dance, and my grandmother knew that they were ment to be together forever. They got married in Febuary of 1967. Because of those four missionaries, I probably wouldnt be born! I would have all the things that I have now because of my Grandparents desision to join the church, and for those missionaries to serve a mission to talk to them has blessed me greatly. I have read The Book of Mormon and have prayed for it to be known if it was true or not. The Book of Mormon is true! I have a testimony of its truth. I know that Jesus Christ died for our sins and wants us to live with him again. I love this church. I dont know where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I taught a class at my home ward called Gospel principals. I help people learn the basics of the LDS church, and how to gain a testimony of every aspect of the church. I am practicing the piano so that I can play the hymns for everyone to sing along with.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

You have to be able to know for youself if The Book of Mormon is true, and if Joseph Smith was called of God to restore his church to the Earth again. In order to do that you must read and pray about those things to know for yourself. Then you must be baptized and recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. And go to church every Sunday to learn and grow in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Show more Show less
