Hi I'm Paula

I love singing, tennis, smiling, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of six kids. We all have very different personalities, so life is never boring. I'm so thankful we can be together forever! I love to sing, and music is a huge part of my life. I've been told I'm a picky eater, but what can I say? I like to eat good food. Reading and tennis are also hobbies of mine. If I could, I would spend all my time on the beach with my nieces and nephews, playing and building sand castles. I'm just a girl, and that's all I want to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine my life without the fullness of the gospel. Being a part of the LDS church has been, by far, the biggest blessing in my life. I know that prayer and the Atonement are powerful tools the Lord has given me. I know that Heavenly Father knows me personally and, if I devote myself to Him, He will make more of my life than I ever could hope to without Him. I know Heavenly Father knows my strengths and weaknesses and hears my prayers. I have seen miracles in my life, and I am so thankful for the power of the priesthood. About a year ago my father had some serious medical problems and the doctors told us he would never be able to do anything again. Basically, our only choice was to put him in a nursing home. Then he received a priesthood blessing where he was promised that he would make a full recovery. Things started turning around, and when he was able to move his hand to point at things, the doctors said it was a miracle. But it didn't stop there. By the end of his therapy one doctor told us, "Whatever god you're praying to, keep it up." I know Heavenly Father keeps His promises. Sometimes we may not always see where he is taking us, but He knows what is best for us, and we need to trust Him. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered for my sins, and died for me on the cross. When I mess up, He never stops loving me, and is always willing to forgive me if I repent. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all my heart. I have felt the Spirit many times in my life, and I never want to live without it. I am a Mormon because it is the only path that will lead to eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live my life in a way that would be pleasing to my Heavenly Father. I dress modestly and use clean language. I try to be an example of someone who loves Heavenly Father, and respects herself and others. It sounds cheesy, but whenever I find myself in situations where I'm not comfortable with what's going on, I ask myself, "What would Jesus do?" I try to see people the way they really are: sons and daughters of God.
