Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in California. I am a police officer for the LAPD. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up largely in California but lived in both Utah and Arizona. I went on a mission to Montreal, Canada. I speak French. I graduated from UCLA in Political Science. I am a police officer of the LAPD. I compete in the throwing events of Track and Field. I play football for the LAPD and Blind Children's Center of Los Angeles.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. More than a system of good morals and practices, the Church has proven to me the existance of God and my relationship to Him. I find no greater joy than the knowlege and service being a Mormon provides me.

How I live my faith

Having grown up with friends not of my faith I was always asked to participate in activities that were contrary to my beliefs. I would refrain from saying that I couldn't do things but rather I personaly chose not to. I never isolated myself from persons not of my faith but rather I contunue to enjoy some of my deepest friendships from them. As an officer I have seen how the other side lives both in extremes and in moderation. Having been assigned to an undercover unit I rubbed elbows with sinners and saints and was truely able to observe as a fly on the wall. From that experience and each day I work, I see proof of how the church's teachings has both saved me from heartache and pain and given me the opportunity to be my best. If nothing else the church has taught me the meaning and love of true service. I do serve in the church but also in the community as an officer and through athletics. I work with churches of other faiths to provide meaningful service to people in my city. I compete and coach in various athletic events such as football and track and field for the purpose of donating time and money to charities and children.
