Hi I'm Kianna

I'm a cheerleader and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I also grew up as a gymnast and competed for a couple of years and when I got to junior high I became a cheerleader. I still cheer today at my local community college and coach cheer at a local high school as well. I have cheered for the Arizona Diamondbacks and have won 3 national titles. Cheerleading is my life and what I have dedicated my life here on earth too.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member because of my mother. My father is from England and has no religous background. I have little or no contact with him. My story of becoming a member is quite unique. I was born in Utah the heartland of mormons and grew up being told I was a mormon. But, we never went to church and I never knew what a "Mormon" was, all I knew was I was one. I lived with my mother and she was also a member but had be inactive for many years. Well, she met a man (a non-member) and decided to marry him. They got married and he got transfered to Arizona. So we packed up and left. I was around 7 when we moved and was about to start 2nd grade. We moved to this little farm in Arizona where we were the only street with houses on it in the whole neighborhood. There was also another little girl down the street who had also moved to Arizona from Utah and we became bus stop buddies. She asked me if I was a mormon because I was also from Utah. I said "Yeah, I think so?" Then she told me I need to go to church on sunday and told me the time and place. When I got home that day I told my mom I really wanted to go on sunday and my mom wasnt about to send her daughter to church alone. Now we are still active members today and still live down the street from that family. I know hevenly father has a plan for each of us and I know that this was in my plan. Growing up a member and cheerleader wasnt the easiest but it was in my plan. I know he would never give any of us anything we cant handle and even if we feel we cant make it he will help us thur. One of my favorite stories is the sand in the footprints because I shows us when we cant stand he will lift us, when we cant walk he will carry us.

How I live my faith

Like I have mentioned before Cheerleading is a major actvity in my life and enjoy it so much. But being a member and Cheerleader can conflict at times. I am proud to say that I have always made it work. Growing up a member and having lived by the LDS Standards I have been given many great opportunities in the cheerleading world. I coach Freshman cheer at a high school and love to be an example to these young girls because they do everything that I do. Also I have just been placed in the right places at the right times and I know those are blessings from my hevenly father for being faithful.
