Hi I'm Chelsea

I'm a Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, and Friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My full time job is being a Mother! I have been married 8 years to my best friend. A mutual friend introduced, we became instant best friends, and the rest is history. I love anything outdoors. My three boys keep me busy playing basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, and anything else you can think of. I got my bachelors degree in Sociology and Minored in Business at BYU. My husband is always telling me that I need to get a hobby. If I could name one selfish hobby it would be genealogy but I have learned that I will do almost any activity anyone invites me to do. I think my true hobby is spending time with and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church but I feel like I learned so much from the testimony's of my friends, their families and church members. My Mom and Dad divorced when I was two and it was always a rough road in the home. As I grew older I struggled with a testimony of my own. The examples I had from those around me encouraged me to find out if what I had been taught was true. I never had one distinct moment that I realized the church was true but I do have many small moments where I felt the spirit strongly while praying, reading my scriptures, or attending church. These small moments grew brick by brick until I had built the firm foundation that stand on today. There are days when my foundation is shaken but I'm grateful for the knowledge of the Holy Ghost and that he is my constant companion who will lead me and guide me as I listen and live the gospel. I'm grateful that I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love me and desire for me to return to live with them once more. I'm grateful for the knowledge that Jesus is my brother and he came to this earth and atoned for all of our sins so that we can return to our father in heaven one day. I'm grateful that I know that Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet today. That he leads us and guides us as the ancient prophets did in their time. I'm Grateful that I know that in the temples we can be sealed to our families forever. That after this life we can see our loved ones again and enjoy the blessings of eternal life. I'm grateful that I know this is a gospel of true happiness and as I live my life living the gospel and serving those around me I can experience great joy in this life.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the gospel by trying to share the gospel and be an example of Christ in all I do. I currently am currently the Secretary in the Young Women's organization. I'm constantly trying to strengthen the friendships we have in our ward by bringing investigators, active members, and less active members of the church together. I try to stay active in my community by participating in programs such as my sons parent participation kindergarten class, PTA, and sports programs. Opportunities for service don't usually show up on your doorstep you have to go out and find them. I try my best to find them.
