Hi I'm Natalie Motto

I'm a classically trained pianist, proud BYU Cougar, nursing student, and a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm Natalie! I am 22 years old, a Christmas baby, and a pre-nursing student at Brigham Young University. I am the oldest of 5 kids, and the proud daughter of incredible parents. I love to travel, and have traveled to China, around the US, and parts of Europe. I really, really love the piano and have had the opportunity to perform internationally with my professor. Some of my favorite things include college sports, Disney movies, snacking on popcorn, "I Love Lucy" reruns, and being with my family. I love horses, and enjoy riding when I have the opportunity. I served a full-time mission in the Alpine German-speaking Mission (Southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland), it being one of the most spectacular experiences of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. I have been taught the gospel from a very young age, and although I have always known in my head that the Church was true, as I've gotten older, I've learned and come to know in my heart of it's truthfulness. I have gained my own personal testimony through reading the Book of Mormon and through sincere prayer, asking if it was true. It wasn't something that came dramatically and at once, but little by little as I continued to "search, ponder, and pray", I received my answer, and to this day I look at that experience to give me strength when times get hard. I am a Mormon because I believe that God loves all His children and still communicates with them today. I believe that there is a prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson, just as the prophets in Biblical times. It was through prayer that I came to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that he did see Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that families can be together forever, and that one day our Savior and Redeemer, the Only Begotten, Jesus Christ, will come again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by being a friend to everyone, for each person is a beloved Son or Daughter of God, and deserves to be treated like so. I live my faith by being happy, because the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings JOY! Although that does not mean life is always easy, the Gospel provides us with a support and strength that no other means could provide. The Gospel of Jesus Christ makes life worthwhile. I do not drink alcohol or tea, I do not smoke, or take of any substance that would be harmful to my body. I do not believe in premarital sex: I believe in being chaste, saving myself for that special young man, my future spouse, when we can be married in God's temple for time and all eternity. I read the scriptures each day, I pray, and I try to remember how much God loves me, and that I am of worth to Him. I have a profound testimony of the restored and everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I live my faith by sharing this simple and powerful truth with others as a full-time missionary.
