Hi I'm Michael

I work in higher education. I am an auditor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of 6 living in Crowley, Texas. I enjoy spending time playing and reading to my children. I believe the family is the most important unit on earth, and it is important to make it strong. I believe education is important and I have a Master's Degree in Business Administration. For fun I like to golf and play basketball. I also enjoy reading, especially science fiction. Cooking relieves stress.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I had to gain my own testimony of the restored gospel. My testimony comes from living the teachings of the gospel. As I have followed the teaching taught to me by my parents and my church leaders, I have been blessed and I have had the opportunity to help others. I have studied and prayed about the teaching of the gospel and Heavenly Father has let me know that they are true. I have seen the Lord's hand in my life from the time I was very young. I know that if I will take the time to ask the Lord to help me make a decision, he will guide me in the right direction. I know that Heavenly Father is mindful of every one of us on earth, and that he wants to give us his good gifts, but we have to prepare our selves to receive them. I know Heavenly Father has talked to his children throughout time and that he still talks to us today. He talks to the world through His prophet, and I feel His spirit when the prophet speaks. I also know the Lord will give me personal guidance for me and my family, when I prepare my self and ask in prayer. The gospel of Christ has helped my through hard times, and made the easy times better. I would not be the person I am today without the gospel in my life. I know that the church is true and that it has been restored in the these days.

How I live my faith

My faith is what makes me who I am. I try to see every person I meet as my brother or sister whether they are members of the LDS church or not. This outlook helps me to be more understanding of the needs of others. I have served in many positions in the church. I have served in the nursery, teaching children, teaching adults, and as a leader of different organizations in the church. Each position has had its hardships and its blessing, but they have all been important in serving my brothers and sisters and preparing me to be who I am today. The church is about serving your fellow men, and I have enjoyed doing that throughout my life.
