Hi I'm Amanda Knowles

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, but now I live in Huntington Beach with my wonderful husband and adorable baby boy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband at a frozen yogurt shop and my life was never the same since that day. I love my husband dearly and we have been married for almost 2 years. We have an adorable 5-month-old son who brings us so much happiness. I am a Personal Trainer and I really enjoy sharing with others my passion for fitness. My husband and I actually both received degrees in Exercise Science, so we compliment each other nicely! I am the youngest of 7 children and I am a twin! I loved coming from a large family and all the fun that came with it. I hope to bring that same sense of fun and loyalty to my own family.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been Mormon my entire life. I cannot see myself being happy living any other religion. The sense of peace that comes from living the principles of the gospel just enriches my life so much. I'm Mormon because I love the feeling I get when my family attends church and the temple together. I know that the Lord wants us to live a certain way because he knows it will provide us with the most freedom which will bring us happiness. I do not feel like I am missing out on anything living this religion. I feel very blessed to be surrounded by people who all want the same things and who want to always be there for me. I also truly believe that the Book of Mormon is the word of God along with the Old Testament, New Testament, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. I have seen the Lord's hand in my life so much that I cannot deny that is because he wants to bless me for living his gospel. We don't always get ahead in life only through our own efforts. The Lord is always there to ease the burdens of our day-to-day....we just have to let him.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by striving to share my beliefs with anyone who will listen. I respect my friends' religions, but I truly believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on this earth today. I want to share my church with others only because I want them to feel the joy that I feel in my life. I want them to know that they can live forever with their families and they can feel of the Lord's sustaining hand in their lives as well. I live my faith by trying very hard to not judge others, but to give everyone the benefit of the doubt because I know that Christ gave this example. I also strive to have compassion for those around me and to perceive where there is a need for love. I live my faith by also validating and accepting my husband as the priesthood holder of our home. I know that marriage between a man and woman is ordained of God and I feel the responsibilty to protect this sacred and holy union. I love being a Mormon so much and I cannot deny the safety and completeness I feel living this gospel!
