Hi I'm Brendan

I'm the youngest of six kids, I play the cello, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi, my name is Brendan and I am a Mormon. Some of my interests include playing the cello and geopolitics. I have played the cello from elementary, through high school, and I continue today. Now I mostly play in church and in the group called Millennial Choirs and Orchestras. I am hoping to turn my interest in geopolitics into a career in public service, which means I'm planning on studying political science in college. Another interesting thing about me is that I had open heart surgery when I was three days old, and I have the scars to prove it. The operation done is called transposition of the great arteries and I needed it because many of the arteries going into my heart were in the wrong spots. So the doctors went in, cut the arteries and sewed them in the right places. Finally, at the time of this writing, I am preparing to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Chile Santiago East mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly do love our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that they love me more than I will every know and that thought fills me with great joy. The Holy Spirit is with me often and I love that and never want its presence to leave me. I am lost without the Spirit's companionship and my heart aches without it. I love the joy and the guidance the Spirit brings to me when I am obedient to God's will.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a number of ways. First, I pray everyday as often as I can which brings me much strength from God and grows my relationship with Him. Next I read my scriptures everyday which also gives me immense strength against the devil. I also teach Sunday school for 14 and 15 year old kids at church. Its always way fun and it's giving me good practice for when I leave on my mission.
