Hi I'm Mike Midgley

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Grew up in the west side of Salt Lake City and attended the Cannon Stake. I love to Bass fish and spend time in the outdoors. Left the church after my divorce for about 6 years, but did come back and have been active for about 8 years now. I served in the Youngmens organization for about 2 years, then was called to Elders Quorum President. Now I am the 2nd councilor in the Bishopric. I call it the fast track back! Enjoying the opportunity to serve such great ward members and learning a lot. I am remarried now and have a home in West Jordan and I work in sales. My passion in Fishing! I was angler of the year in 2005 for Bass and strive to fish Bass Masters Classic someday, will see?

Why I am a Mormon

I have had a special connection with the spirit my whole life. Even when I was not doing all that I should, the spirit was still with me. I love the opportunity to serve others and the joy that service brings in my life. I appreciate the peace it gives me when I know I have a purpose in life and that I can live with those that I love again, including my Savior Jesus Christ. I appreciate the opportunity to give back to God for all that he has given me. I have come to recognize that all things are from God and without God we have nothing. I give all my gratitude to him and know that everything is in his hands. This provides great comfort and peace in my life. I also know that my Savior Jesus Christ died for me, and without the atonement I would not be here. Therefor I owe all that I can to them. This knowledge gives me the desire and energy to serve him diligently. Even though I struggle sometimes I know that they still love me. That is why I am a mormon!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as 2nd Councilor in the Bishopric. My responsibilities are the Deacons, Beehives and Primary. What a great opportunity it is to work with the youth. They teach me so much and I can share with them my experiences to help benefit their lives. I also love to provide service. Service to the ward members gives me the most joy. To share one anothers burdens and shoulder to shoulder working with those that I love.
