Hi I'm Becky Everton

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My parents are from Baptist and Catholic backgrounds. When I was five years old they converted to the Mormon faith, so I have mostly known the Mormon faith most of my life. I have been married to my sweetheart Jeremy for 21 years and we have 3 children ages 19, 15, and 8. All of my immediate family are Mormon and my husbands family is Mormon as well. I am so excited to share what is the central focus of my life and marriage and most of all what has brought all of us so much happiness!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converted to the Mormon faith when I was five years old, but I have continued to remain active and faithful because I have gained a knowledge of it for myself and believe in its truthfullness and teachings. I also continue in this faith because it has brought so much joy to my marriage and to my children, and I believe it continues to bring happiness to my daughter and her new husband and will contiue to bring happiness for generations to come.

How I live my faith

I try each day to stay close with Heavenly Father. I am a nurse and come in contact each day with patients that I strive to bring happiness and comfort. I am grateful for the teachings of this gospel, because I am learning always how to remain humble and be teachable. I think that striving to be happy is what we can all learn from this gospel and I want others to become closer to God and their own families either through my own happiness or through seeing what I have learned.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Becky Everton
Those who have called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints a cult have either gotten wrong information regarding church doctrine or really don't know and understand the church's teachings. Those of us who are members are always happy to answer questions or clarify misinterpretations about the church and its teachings. I am always happy to answer with honesty and kindness and with the hope that even though I may not know all the answers, our Heavenly Father does and He can help us understand all things.
