Hi I'm Sarah Jane!

I'm a college student. I love to write. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently attending BYU, but I have no idea what I'm studying! I love to write, and dream of becoming an author one day I'm from Washington State I LOVE the sun, though I don't see a whole lot of it in WA

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 12 years old I began to read the Book of Mormon for myself. One night, while I was reading, I felt a very strong, and very clear confirmation of it's truthfulness. There was no way I could deny it. Since then, I've continued to read the Book of Mormon daily, and I try my best to follow all of the commandments that Heavenly Father gives throughout it. Living as a Mormon and believing in the gospel has made me, and continues to make me, so happy. I'm a Mormon because it blesses my life, and helps me to find direction in everything :)

How I live my faith

I'm currently in a student ward at BYU, and I serve as the music coordinator with another boy! We get to choose the music that is played every Sunday at church during our Sacrament Meeting. I am a strong believer that music can bring the spirit sometimes more than other things. I love my calling as the music coordinator! Along with my calling, I also get to visit with two girls from my ward and help them with whatever they need - like making them food if they're sick, or providing support for exciting or important events in their lives. This is probably the best part about being a member of the church, because it allows me and others to make connections with a lot of people my age!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Sarah Jane!
A testimony is the truth that the spirit, the Holy Ghost, has witnessed to you, and something that you know without a doubt. The basis of a Mormon's testimony is knowing that Heavenly Father (God) is real, that He lives and Loves us; that His son, Jesus Christ, lives and He carried out the Atonement; that Joseph Smith is a latter-day prophet, whom God called to restore Jesus Christ's church to Earth; that we are led today by a true and living prophet; and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior's Church that was restored on the Earth today.
