Hi I'm April

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom. I enjoy spending time with my family. I have several different kinds of crafts I enjoy to do. I make suncatchers, candles and I enjoy to sewing different craft items.

Why I am a Mormon

In 2003 my sister took her own life and it changed my life forever. One year after her death my husband and daughter joined the Church. I still wanted no part of it because I was angry with God for taking my sister away from me. My mom wasn't the same mom after my she died. She had changed as I did. One day I called my mom and the one of the missionaries answered the phone. I said I am ready to investigate the Church. I took the 5 lessons. I was bapitisted and confirmed a member of the Church 9 years ago. Knowing familes are forever made me decision to become a member easier. I will be with my mom and sister for time and all eternity. I will also spend time and all eternity with my husband and kids. I have been so blessed since I have become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I didn't have any other brother or sisters. Now that I am a member I now have all kinds of brothers and sister. I know this Church is true. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I know the priesthood has been restored here on earth. I know Jesus Christ suffered on the cross for my sins. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My husband and I share a calling and we are the ward physical facility representives. Every three months we plan the cleaning schedule. Twice a year we plan a ward cleaning project. I am also a visiting sister and I do a writing route. I send a message along with a card every month to our sisters who aren't active. I encourage the sisters to come back to church and become an active member again. I also let them know if there is anything they need or I can do for them to let me know. I read the Book of Mormon everyday.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Families are forever--not just here on earth. Death does not need to be the end of our relationships with cherished loved ones. These ordinances seal a husband and wife together for all eternity and children to their parents for time and all eternity. The Missionaries will talk about this in one of their lessons. Families are forever and I know I will spend time and all eternity for my family. Show more Show less
