Hi I'm Jodie Grossenbach

I'm a French speaking, literature-loving, Canadian at heart. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am living the life surrounded by my family, friends, and the beautiful Utah landscape! I recently came home from serving an 18 month mission to wonderful Quebec Canada. I am now picking up where I left off in my studies of Environmental Science at the University of Utah. While I am focusing on my studies and work, the center of my life continues to be my family. I am the lucky aunt to two outgoing little boys. They keep my mind and heart open to what an adventure life is. Whether it be going for a bike ride or helping me wash the dishes, each moment with them is filled with laughter and joy that comes from knowing that I can be with my family forever!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been greatly blessed to have been born into a family with a strong heritage of membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My family's examples have strengthened and supported me many times. But more than that, I have come to know for myself that this church is Jesus Christ's church restored to the earth. My knowledge of this came little by little- it truly was like watching the sun rise. I started off just feeling good about it. But, little by little, through earnest and consistent prayer and reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I came to know that Heavenly Father knows me and cares about me. No matter how small and insignificant I feel, He shows me quite personally how much He loves me. His Son, Jesus Christ, is my Savior. He died on the cross, but rose again that I too might live with my family forever. I've made many mistakes in life, but each time, Christ has been there by my side to help me repent, heal my wounds, and show me a better way of living. It's through exercising continual faith in Jesus Christ and continuing to study and pray that I am able to continue. Because of Jesus Christ, I have a sure purpose and destination on this journey of life.

How I live my faith

For 18 months, I was incredibly blessed to be able to go to Quebec Canada and share my testimony of Jesus Christ with the people I met there. That experience has truly changed my life forever. Even though some moments were very difficult, it was, in fact, a small price to pay to be able to come to know my Savior and experience His love for me so personally. Each day was filled with loving and serving others, whether they were people I knew or complete strangers on the street. Right now, I no longer wear a name badge marking me as a missionary of the Church, but I still have wonderful opportunities to serve others and to come closer to my Savior. It's truly in the little things like reading and studying the scriptures, praying each day, and attending church on Sunday that I continue to grow in my testimony of Jesus Christ. While my mission in Canada might have come to a close, my mission to love God and my neighbor continues.
