Hi I'm Cody

I grew up in California. I live in Oregon with my wife and two kids. I am a dentist in Oregon, and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Oregon with my family, and am proud to be a father of two wonderful children. I love the outdoors, hiking, and staying active. I served a mission in Argentina. I attended BYU, met my sweetheart, and we were married in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. After finishing school in southern California, I moved to Utah, then to Oregon, where I am a practicing dentist.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were great examples to me growing up, as I developed my testimony of the Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. My parents taught me about the gospel, but I am a member of the Church because of my own experiences and knowledge. Their faith helped me develop my own personal testimony. When I read about the ministry of Jesus Christ in the Bible, my faith in Him is strengthened and increased. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, telling the story of prophets on the American continent, and when I read and pray I feel the power of these scriptures in my heart, and I know they are of God. The Church is a congregation of those that share my beliefs in Jesus Christ, faith in God, scriptures, and living a clean and virtuous life. Being a member of the church has given purpose and direction to my life, and peace through following the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My faith in Jesus Christ is the center of my life, helping me make decisions about the best way to serve others. I feel that I have many responsibilities as a husband, father, and in my profession. Learning about Jesus Christ gives me strength to follow His example in my daily activities. He lived a life of love and service, and I feel the peace and happiness that comes from following His teachings. There are times that I fall short, but I know that He loves me, and wants the best for me and my family. When I follow the Savior, my life is greatly blessed, and I find success in serving those around me. In times of struggle, I have learned to rely on the power of prayer to my Heavenly Father. I know that God hears and answers my prayers.
